Finding a workhorse ute in such fine condition is rare indeed, but this 60-year old FE Holden ute is clean and tidy and features a recent restoration in its original colour. Presented in great overall condition, with its original Owner’s Manual intact, it maintains all of the features that made this marque so popular.

Its timber-lined load area appears unused and comes complete with a flawless tonneau cover. The 138 “Grey in-line six-cylinder engine couples to its original three-speed manual column shift gearbox. This example is a pleasure to drive and is one of the finest examples in existence - ready for work or play.

Built by Holden in four body styles, the FE series arrived in July 1956 and was built until April 1958. The utility version was first introduced in February 1957. Compared to its FJ predecessor the FE model introduced a 12-volt electrical system, improved steering, a front stabiliser bar and wider rims while the engine was uprated with bigger valves and a lift in compression ratio which increased power output.
