This iconic 1959 Chevy El Camino ute has been beautifully restored with documentation including a professional conversion to right hand drive. This 3-seater has been painted in original red and white with contrasting interior trim. It is a stunning example of this popular American ute.

Powered by a 454 cid 7.4-litre V8 driving through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, it has amazing capability and drives superbly. Based on a heavy cross girders chassis, it sits on a full coil sprung suspension. This awesome American Muscle also provides mechanical upgrade records and is an enduring, unique collectable.

Only built over 1959 and 1960, the Chevrolet El Camino was developed using a modified platform from the Brookwood two-door station wagon which was itself a completely redesigned, longer lower and wider full-sized Chevrolet. Highly stylised, it quickly outsold its prime competitor, the more conservative Ford Ranchero by 2 to 1. It was promoted as the first Chevrolet pick-up with a steel bed floor in lieu of timber.
